The HTC HD Mini has now been made available as a SIM Free handset, this means that it is unlocked to all network operators allowing you to insert either a Pay As You Go or contract SIM card and retain your current mobile number and any contacts that you have saved to the card. The SIM Free HD Mini is a great way to own this model without being tied to just one network as with contract deals, it also means that this latest HTC phone can be purchased as a present for others as well as making for a great replacement for a lost or stolen handset. One other big advantage of SIM free phones is that there are no credit checks as with pay monthly deals, if you struggle to gain a contract deal from the networks due to a poor credit rating then the SIM Free HTC HD Phone Mini is a good solution. HTC’s first Windows Phone 7 device, the Schubert, has finally been seen in a leak including a video (seen below). The smartphone has a unibody aluminum design like the Legend but with large, stylized plastic on the back for the antennas. Little else is available, but 247WindowsPhone believes it will have a Snapdragon processor; WP7 guidelines point to an 800×480 screen. Unlike theG1 HTC the HD Mini is powered by a 600MHz processor rather than the whopping 1Ghz of the previous model, you may think this is a step down, however with the smaller screen size this new mini edition does not need the processing power required by the HD2. HTC’s own range has just born two new models powered by the Android system as competition to Windows based devices, these include the HTC Desire and HTC Legend with the Legend offering the same 3.2 inch touch screen and 5.0 mega pixel camera as the HD mini.
