Who will buy Windows Phone 7?

So, Microsoft has a shiny new Phone OS, but is it too little, too late? We consider the issues surrounding, and the appeal of, Windows Phone 7

Until now, Windows Mobile operating system is Microsoft smartphone, and it was mainly the work of the operating system. Think of the synchronization of Exchange users, policies and data management much more than entertainment and multimedia.

But Windows 7 Phone, and the subtle name change, Microsoft is trying to capture the attention of large consumer blocs in bold, and a big, bold handsets.All phones released in Australia and has a screen size greater than 3 inches and everything has a touch screen, media and games front and center.

But Microsoft is going to find it harder than it imagines to break into the smartphone market. It’s coming in quite late with a consumer-friendly OS, for starters.

Android does not show the dominance of the slowdown, over 50% of Smartphones sold in Australia are currently engaged with the operating system from Google. The iPhone, as well as the largest single leading manufacturer of mobile phones. So how is Windows 7 Phone do?

How does the interface compare?

New Phone for Windows 7 is the user interface is quite smooth, should be given. We were able to practice with the HTC and HTC HD7 7 Trophy today, and we were really impressed with how attractive.

While Windows 7 handsets will have exclusive game and probably a few headlines, it is difficult to see that fact alone is enough to entice users of smartphones on the new operating system.

Where’s the Hero Handset?

It takes a big exciting handsets to attract attention to the masses. The iPhone is clearly IOS hero and Android handsets, it is not surprising that the U.S. took after Desire was released.

 

Even though the Samsung Galaxy S probably recorded higher sales, the Desire is still the phone most Android users will point to as the epitome of the genre.

For Windows Phone 7, however, there’s no real Hero Handset among the six released into Australia on October 21. They all have similar styling and specifications.

Hero Without a laptop really capture the imagination of consumers, we think of Windows 7 Phone will be difficult to find a niche.

We would like to tell you exactly what we think of the new phones, but Microsoft insists on non-disclosure of respondents who want to get their hands on the devices before the launch date.
